JACQUES MULDER is responsible for the financial affairs of the Barnstone Group and consults to a number of the Barnstone’s clients. His previous experience includes financial transformation, treasury management and merchant banking. “Our Group’s affairs are directed by the four founding members and we foster a collegial business approach, which we devolve to our management and staff. We are aware of the challenges that face our region in the next decade in terms of sustainable development. As part of our vision for more equity in our societies we are also embarking on consulting initiatives that will contribute to transformation in the areas of food and water security, equitable health services and education.”
In recent years, Jacques has specialised in assisting large companies with financial transformation and treasury improvement initiatives. Major clients included Telkom, Sasol and Transnet. Jacques also consults to the World Bank on financial governance projects. “One of the exciting initiatives in Africa is the commitment by institutions such as the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the EC and the UNDP to support financial transformation projects on the continent. It is the responsibility of companies like Barnstone to facilitate these initiatives and to support the sustainability of transformed environments.
